The Parents and Friends Association (P&FA) is very active at GMAS. Parents assist in a wide range of activities that generate funds to help provide additional facilities and resources that otherwise may not be possible.

The aim of the GMAS P&FA is FRIENDRAISING with FUNDRAISING as an added bonus.

The GMAS P&FA Committee, with the support from the parents of year groups for one activity per year, hosts such events as: Mother’s Day stalls, Primary Discos, Christmas Fair and the Fashion Parade which is a calendar highlight.

Along with large calendar events, the GMAS P&FA are also in charge of our Parent Liaison Network (PLN) which runs throughout the Primary School years and serves to strengthen the link between the school and parent community. The role of PLN is a great way for parents to meet and build relationships outside of the classroom by creating a point of contact for the class and year group.  The position of PLN is a vital role within our school and without this network we would not be able to host the many fantastic P&FA events at GMAS.

The P&FA also provides assistance in such areas as co-curricular activities, working bees, outdoor education, the Library and social activities.

This year we have celebrated special parents, who have given 10 years’ service to the GMAS P&FA as active committee members, a gift to our school which is invaluable.

The GMAS P&FA works in close partnership with the school. The P&FA comprises of a Management Committee (elected at the AGM) through which a variety of Sub Committees are formed.
