Principal's Welcome

I extend a warm welcome to you as you explore our website.

Our website is very useful for the dissemination of information but I hope you can take the time to visit and tour the school to enable you to fully appreciate why this school is valued so highly.

Established in 2003 this school has grown into a very well respected educational institution.  We are an Anglican co-educational day school for students from Little Georgies (3 year olds) to Year 12.  As part of the Anglican Schools Commission (Inc.), GMAS offers a holistic, character based education centred upon the strong relationship between staff, students and parents.  The partnership of professional educators and committed families enables each learner to discover individual talents and to grow as a person with enhanced 21st century skills.

I believe GMAS is a happy, friendly school that students can enjoy coming to on a daily basis.  This is evident in the learning and play areas, sporting fields and in the wider community. We pride ourselves on enriching the fabric of our school community by promoting values of faith, integrity, respect and educational excellence.

The atmosphere at the school is one of ‘belonging’ which can be attributed to the care, concern and companionship the staff give to the students. Our staff takes personal interest in the human uniqueness of individuals. They take seriously the responsibility to challenge each person to be the best they can be mentally, physically, socially and spiritually.

Set amid beautiful open planned and landscaped grounds comprising nearly 15 hectares, the school offers state-of-the-art modern, technology rich facilities which create an environment conducive to learning and social engagement. The entire schools infrastructure is in place to support and enhance the educational curriculum and co-curricular programs on offer. We are a Beazley Medal VET school (top student in the State) as well as having ATAR students in some of the most prestigious Universities in Australia.

Our graduates (Old Georgians) excel in many professions, occupations and trades, having had the scaffolding and preparation to assist them in making a positive and productive contribution to our society.

GMAS is a school that strives to promote excellence in all things, challenging the students to go beyond mediocrity and achieve their full potential.  Our students are encouraged to become independent, critical thinkers with an ongoing love of learning.  The Christian philosophy of the school asks students to identify on how they can best serve themselves, their families, their friends and the wider community. Our school motto is ‘Rejoice in Service’. We aim to assist others on a daily basis by the promotion of our core values and mission giving them opportunities now and benefits for life.

I look forward to welcoming you to the GMAS school community.
